Where Substance Meets Air

Where Substance Meets Air is an evening of contemporary dance featuring works by choreographer Brandon Welch. Welch’s creations explore themes of breath, groundedness and momentum while incorporating floor work, partnering and inversions. This performance will feature musical scores by Ezio Bosso, Franz Liszt, Dobrinka Tabakova and Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Indy Dance Exchange is a confluence of global dance artists coming together in Indianapolis. Experience the intersection of exposure, cultivation and creative play at the 2024 Winter Intensive and culminating performance. This year's faculty features former and current company dancers of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Doug Varone and Dancers, Nederlands Dans Theater, Helanius J. Wilkins, Gibney Company, and Shen & Bones Performance Group.
